As to those saying the position isn't being eliminated thats false. Night merchandiser will be eliminated. The new stocking shift is a new position which they will have to do a job offer for just life if you switched positions or just got hired.
Is this post by @YfxJ3lQ-3dul true? Are we really talking about the elimination of a position and a creation of a new one, and that people have to reapply as they were never working for Sam’s?
With all this nonsense going on I think now is the time for all you folks to unionize.
So what happens is they eliminate the actual overnight and instead offer you one of two shifts:
4am-1230pm
3pm-1130pm
Seniority in effect for who takes what position. Severance is offered as an alternative for those who cannot make that type shift change.
So basically its 2 shifts, 4am-1230pm, or 3pm-11pm. And is suppose to be in affect at the club i work at in July after our remodel. I dont see how this is going to work. Everybody's schedule is affected including DC's, truck drivers and vendors. Along with some who depend on nights so they can take care of kids during the day. This only benefits corporate saving 8million from the 50 cent differential..
You are not losing jour job . They are just making it day/night time merchandising instead of overnights so no severance. True or not ?? who knows guess we all will have to wait and see.😕
