For people who keep hoping this is over, it is nowhere near over. More layoffs are coming for sure both in April and May, and there are some indications that it might continue as far as June and July.
Basically, all we can do is sit, wait, stress and hope we are not among those "lucky" ones who'll be shown the door.

The truck market is softening. Too expensive. Same will happen with large SUV. AV and EV are not profitable. We can’t seem to figure out how to make affordable sedans and smaller vehicles. Leadership keeps pumping sunshine without substance. The only leader from my LL5 up to CEO that is trusted and respected is Joe Hinrichs. The rest are just playing games and raking in the dough.

Picture a Company, where every employee shows up to work, everyday, thinking this might be their last day. This is Ford and the 'culture' that now exist. Sad. Take transparency, empowerment, etc. and toss them. Senior management has allowed this to happen. We can only hope those left behind can rebuild Ford to survive.
Wall Street analysts have said rip the band-aid off. The lingering process and stress hurts productivity of the remaining work force both before and after the layoff. The long exposure creates a residual stress effect.
Those with in demand skills won’t wait, and are already seeking alternate employment. They may not be the ones targeted for layoffs, and it will be tough to replace them
Terrible process. Clearly FMC no longer gives a rat about employees.
