Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Does HCL offer new employment terms for re-badgers?

How does that process even work? When you agree to rebadge do you just sign the document and continue working with the same condition as when you were a Xerox employee (same pay, same benefits…) or does HCL offer you different terms? I apologise if this is a stupid question, but I realy don’t know.

Yes but most functions that come before me are from non badged employees who will not give a care what HCL says to do because they don't work for HCL, we can't even get sales to follow our processes and you think because HCL is involved that things are going to go as they plan, no way! Our customers are so needy, they will freak if things get delayed, if cores lose their independence and right to do things the way they want then you might as well just shut the doors because seems like every deal I see lately is an exception to the rule

One thing I think a lot of people are forgetting is that even though your role may be complicated, it's really just made up of individual responsibilities, and the steps to perform those responsibilities.

Once HCL finishes documenting the "Billing" process, or the "Admin" processes, why would they wait to document the same work at 30 different Cores? GIS is now formally under the Xerox umbrella, so everything will be standardized. Billing will be done the same way. Admin will be done the same way.

Once HCL has these processes documented they will roll out a centralized Billing or Admin process for ALL to use. And then they will let everyone go in GIS that's currently performing that function.

Unfortunately things are going to move much faster than most people think. I hate that its happening to us, but the people that crafted this process aren't stupid, and HCL has done this many times before. They know that the sooner they get this work shuffled off to Sanjay in Bangalore, the sooner they start turning a profit on this contract. They will not waste time.

Great attitude 1cso, kudos to you!! While I try to stay positive I think the same thing, my job is so friggen complicated at times, I will laugh when they see just how many steps and people are involved in a deal from sales to operations to lease admin to contracts, because it is no easy feat, it takes a team and I come from a damn good one! If they think it's easy to outsource they are in for a ride awakening !

You need to receive an offer letter.

Yes our jobs will be outsource, but the million dollar question is when? For sure no time soon. In GISX there's about 30 some cores that are ran totally different. HCL is use to coming in and rebadging uniform (cookie cutter) style companies. They are noticing this as the days go by that is nothing as what they thought 😆😆😆..... While Xerox keeps on ditching out money to HCL while they figure it out and get it together. In the meantime business as usual. continue to do my job as before to excellence because that's the type of employee that represent Global (the best of the best) not like those monkeys they are use to paying peanuts for peanuts. I'm with my work family, awesome boss and a great executive team and HR that have gone above and beyond to make this transition as painless as possible. I keep collecting my paycheck, benefits, vacation and when they outsource my position within maybe 2-3 years I’ll cross the bridge when I get there. Hoping all the best for y’all.

But to add the contract to keep your benefits the same as they were for vacation time etc is ONLY for 3 years, after that you follow HCL benefits

IF you stay on the Xerox account, then the pay / vaca / service length is the same. If you move to another account then your vacation will move to HCL vacation schedule and your rate will be reduced. Please realize that there is a GREAT benefit to HCL to outsoure your position to lower cost resource.
