Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

What is the standard Oracle severance package in California?

I imagine this would be an easy question for many on this board. I don’t work at Oracle but my husband was laid off last week. He tends to be quite quiet about the details of the layoff and about the severance detail. So, in that light I ask this question. Btw sorry for posting, given that I’m an outsider.

Finally some accurate answers to this often-asked question. No, it's not one month pay per year service.

In CA, one week per year of service, cap at 26 weeks. Whether there is 60 day notice, depends on the site location layoff number trigger a WARN or not.

I know someone who got laid off in Colorado. They got 2 weeks plus one week for every year of service. It's possible that in CA, he also got the 60 day WARN, which means he's on the payroll for 60 days.
