This company was built on the blood, sweat and tears of the baby boomers. Generation X crybabies are going to run the company into the ground. All they know is how to take without putting in any work; spewing b---s--- corporate jargon to get their next promotion. Millennials are entitled, but they will have to face the consequences from the greed of generation X. Good luck to those stay.

The Baby Boomers spent mod their careers working for a monopoly. So, spare us your speech on how great the Boomers were at shooting fish in a barrel. Baby Boomer Lowell destroyed the company with his id--tic decisions. Once the wireless market reached saturation and wireless products no longer sold themselves, Lowell had no working plan to diversify or sustain growth. “Let’s stop the FiOS build and buy antique internet companies!”
You probably don't want my job. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't stay at vz either. You have to look out for yourself, so if a better job comes along, take it. And don't look back.

Someone who is over the age of 65 is a senior citizen and should be entitled to breaks. Most cultures take care of their elders and respect them. I am not a senior citizen but am middle aged. After a life of toil and raising the next generation, they have earned it. What gets my goat is the 20 somethings that think they earned that right. You have a lot of work ahead of you before even thinking about that. The way it is going, as soon as kids graduate high school, they are going to be looking for welfare and social security. What happened to hard work and setting goals? America has become soft. Where’s my participation trophy? Get off my grass!
Agreed. every generation think the generations after them are not up to the mark. This has been going on forever. Seriously there is good and bad in every generation.
Man baby boomers hate the hell out of gen xers but who raised those gen xers? It's like they hate their own children. So bitter because technological changes and advancements have left them far behind because they chose not to further their education. Now they call customer service whining that they are now on a fixed income and feel entitled to be given a lower rate because they are now considered a senior citizen. They talk all kinds of mess about younger generations, but they have just as much of an sense of entitlement as any age group. Piss off!!
The real issue is American entitlement. The company is led by foreigners who know work is cheaper abroad.

Us old men, lost our jobs to gen-x, millennials......every change in HR check boxes and every change to make the company diverse. We had product knowledge and understood how telephony worked, all the things you haven't got a clue about. You will get yours, time will catch up to you too. And pretty soon there will be no old men left, to bail you out of riff, then it is your turn to experience what we have.
