Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Point questions

So in old days. If you call out 2 consecutive days it counts as 1 absence

Does the new policy say anything on this?

If I called out today and tomorrow is that 2 points or 1?

If your Clubs have a C/M that is doing their job properly, this attendance policy should eliminate the slackers that have been working the system, i.e. taking three days, count as one. If you are truly sick, call Sedgwick at 1-800-492-5678, and go from there. If you are in the Fresh areas, you are not allowed to work sick. Yes, prior post are correct, a manager has the option to approve an absence so it will not give you a point but if that happens it all has to be approved by C/M and a manager better have a good reason for doing it, not just that they are buds. You have five days out in a rolling six month period, let's be real, you are not going to use all five unless you are really sick then go on LOA and it doesn't count against you.

I went to the ER with a fever, chest congestion, and dizziness. I missed 2 days. I'm scheduled back tonight. I still am not in any shape to be working, but I am going in to avoid the points. The old system was excrement but the new one has gone to the other end of the spectrum. Not very well thought out! Typical Sam's M.O. Ready, Fire, Aim.

See?! We don't have PTC's anymore so no one knows that answer! Well Done, Home Office! YOU created this chaos! I've downgraded my membership already. Hit that bottom line. You've made a Sam's Share impossible.

For the person bitxhing about infecting people at work, if you call Sedgwick you can take an LOA, because obviously if you have strep youve been to the doctors so you can probably get a leave approved. Maybe instead of being a baby do some research instead of coming on a website to complain like a little bitxh

I can’t wait till I come in with strep and infect all my coworkers and management.

Everyday is 1 point no matter if it is in a row or not. No mercy for the really sick ones. We now have a lot of sick people at work because they don"t want points.

Everyday is 1 point. 3 days called in = 3 points. Super simple people.

It does not matter anyway. If you are management pets they can override the system to excuse the call off. Somethings will never change.

Stop talking to people like their dirt. Not all associates took advantage. Some were just sick. Like the person coughing and hacking all over the front end last night. Been nice if they would have called in sick, but no. They came to work to infect the rest of us.

It’s 2 pts no more free extra day, get your a-- back to work. Everyone knows that all associates took advantage of the 1 absence for 3 days.
