Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Bad Management

I posted this in another thread, it has 10 up-votes. Thought I would repost as a thread:

This is exactly the reason why Oracle is going down the tubes. Management is corrupt and not held accountable by the management above them. The better people are under attack in engineering by the management that should want those people around.

This is not going to change. I'm glad I left a while back. You should leave also.

Let the rats go down with the ship if they are too stupid to value the people who actually do the work.

You want to read about corruption??? Just get a copy of the Amended Complaint, filed March 8, 2019. This is the case involving CLOUD REVENUE FRAUD which was originally filed on August 10, 2018. The Sunrise Firefighter's Pension Fund versus Oracle and named executives. SC, MH and LE appear to be in deep trouble. Enjoy.

No truth in it. No one is corrupt. In such a large company, there is pressure to tow the line. Management present a rosy picture upward. Real issues are kept hidden under the table. That was the culture under TK, which he himself developed due to all the ranting he used to do in reviews. Rather TK should have cultivated open culture. Because of these under the table issues in product designs, other short comings, first generation of cloud services failed miserably in cloud scalability and performance. To become a cloud company, it needed a cultural change. I feel they are doing right thing, bringing people from AWS etc. who can raise right questions and bring about a change.
