I honestly doubt JB much cares about oracle, other than not paying oracle exorbitant fees for oracle’s DB

Amazon cloudn't compete with Oracle's innovation in OCI (gen2 cloud) and all their cloud run over legacy virtualisation, and oracle SAAS offerings are top products , each offerings tops the gartener quadrant.
no other cloud provider can match the might of oracle, Amazon senced they are going to doomed.
sent their sleeper cell Djohnson to remove all top architects with 90 odd patents each, TK, AZ all top leaders cleaned now. like termite he has initiated layoffs to kill oracle.
all oracle top performers are joining GCS with very good package,
left over doen't have any idea about direction or big picture .... total chaos

This is the defining moment of oracle DB decline accelerating and oracle losing market share leadership. JB just killed LE’s golden goose. Oh well, such is life LE.
Losing Amazon as a customer is one thing. But AWS will definitely share their IP with customers on how to move off Oracle onto AWS.
If they can do it, anyone can.
Not a single company on planet earth that doesn’t want to be freed from doing business with oracle - HUGE opportunity, go for it !!!
Ex Oracle engineers can make a pretty good living migrating companies off of Oracle.
I expect there will be an entire group of new contractors specializing in removing Oracle DB. It will become the next thing to do, for IT directors.
Maybe Amazon has found a new business model: free companies out of being hostage from Oracle contracts/DB; however history has shown it can be complex, gigantic tasks; this can be an opportunity for service providers such as Accenture etc..

Not surprise, Amazon has been luring Oracle customers to dump Oracle database and move over to use Amazon database already.
