Severance Letter Stated Regular Pay and Benefits Through 4/9 - What Happened?

I received pay on March 15, but no bank deposit at end of March. Was March 15 the last check even though they said pay would continue through 4/9? Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an explanation? Also have not received invoice for March health coverage yet which I understand I have to pay. Was told that full COBRA amount would be required for April. Doesn't seem right if benefits provided through 4/9. Partial COBRA charge seems more appropriate.

WARN payment included benefit pay so you just have to pay online at NetBenefits.

Call your wife's insurance tell them your situation. I did this with my husband's insurance, they advised me to provide them a letter of proof that my insurance was dropped on March 1. I then called GM, they dropped my health insurance back to March 1. My balance to pay is now $0. My husband's insurance will now pick up on march1 even though it is now April 2.

As for the benefits center, they tell me I have to pay full COBRA for April even though the WARN letter stated coverage through 4/9. Somehow doesn't seem right to me.

In any case, I appreciate the replies from each of you to my post.

Thanks for the reply. So I guess that explains the payroll question. But I still don't understand the point of benefits being provided through 4/9, if they really ended on 3/31 given that I am required to pay the full COBRA amount for April. To switch to coverage under my spouse's plan beginning 4/1 I need evidence that my coverage ended 3/31, but the WARN letter states 4/9. Any thoughts on how to proceed with that issue?
