Thread regarding CVS layoffs

As of 4/1/2019..

either it is a April fools joke, or the Company is finally beginning to realize that, with the reduction in hours, the FS's time is limited, so they proposed that we open, and close, on Pharmacy hours, plus, we go to less Ad signing , meaning that instead of putting up 22,000+ small signs, that cover the merchandise for the consumer, that we will be going to larger single signs, that explain the items included in the price.

Wow, have been with the Company for 6 years today, and finally, 2 positives.

Shame they couldn’t institute those reduced hours now!

An update on my original post on same store hours for F/S, and Rx. Just been notified that our store hours, this year, in 2019, will remain the same, but in 2020, when the new store budgets are made, hours will be reduced.

Hair notions changed to large signs a few weeks ago. We've used large signs in vitamins for a while (printed without dates). Saves an hour a week in one aisle alone!

We haven’t had any visits yet, and none on the horizon that I know of. However we are in the midst of inventory preparation, as we have inventory in two weeks. So might this go down after inventory?

The proof is from a store visit with the DL, and the Regional Vice-President. You can believe, or choose not to believe.

So wait the hours part is true also?? Or is the reduced hours only going to be for select stores? I like the sale sign changes, but for me getting to leave earlier would be unbelievably great!!

It's TRUE about the signs. Seen it today in email from dl.

We got offered month ago opportunity to open close with pharmacy. But lost hours would be taken from weekly budget

Except he used that word “proposed”. Which probably means that this is a proposal on the table somewhere in corporate, but still needs to be voted on. I too really hope this is true, but I would like to see/know proof of this. I could deff see the sale sign thing, but corporate would NEVER budge on fs operating hours. I think 8am-9pm is perfect hours, but no way there gonna allow us to close at 6pm on weekends. And no way there gonna make Pharmacy stay late on weekends. So the big question is, IF this is true how do weekends play out?
