Chevron To Buy Anadarko In $33 Billion Energy Megadeal
In a deal that could have a transformative impact on the contemporary energy industry, Chevron on Friday revealed plans to acquire oil and gas producer Anadarko Petroleum in a cash and stock deal valued at $33 billion, which comes out to about $65 per share.
The combined company is expected to have an enterprise value of $50 billion.
Anadarko shareholders will receive 0.3869 shares of Chevron and $16.25 in cash for each of their shares.
The combined company is expected to deliver $1 billion in synergies.
