I was layed off in Chennai, India. I was a very hard working guy. I changed two managers in the same team. I was working in the ascends building. My two managers were like two balls of their manager and this guy was the thing hanging of his white manager. None of my managers and their boss knew nothing about the project. All they know is politics. Bnym is with a bunch of id--ts now. This company will never rise again.

So did u work for 12. Months and got paid for 12 months + 2 months notice period ?
Seems unreal , there are folks who have worked 7+ years who were laid off , they get paid for 7 years plus 2 months notice wow that's a lot
Sorry it's - number of yrs of service + 2 months. I got 14 months
Number of yrs of service + 3 months
You should be happy you are out of this hell.. how many months pay they give as severance ?
Yes they did. I was happy to take the severance as I was blessed by God for my hard work. Secondly, I don't have too see the mo--ns again.
Sorry to hear , but did they pay you severance since you are from India ?
Seems.like it's getting hot there in Chennai too just like in Trump's America..welcome to the party. Seems like Chuckie want to whip everyone #$%%
Yes let the low and middle managers do the dirty work very smart must say !!
ExCom just loves it when you blame their policies on your local managers.
(Having said that, mid-managers did a terrible job with reorganization, although those directives came from above and there might not have been a good way to implement them.)
Didn't mean to offend hard working IT managers that know what it takes to create new products... Term 'bulldogs' refers to some newly hired 'program managers', some with ZERO IT experience ;-)
Seriously guys. The decisions that are being made are at levels WAY above the front line managers, or even a level or two above that. There isn’t a front line manager in this place that has any power or influence at all. So be mad at them if you feel you need to, but Know that the true problems lie elsewhere.
We managers weren’t always useless. I was a hard working team member that took on a manager role (not a promotion) and then changed teams. I got no choice and go to work every day just hoping to do some good. I would not be surprised if people that rely on me are disappointed, or if I go laid off myself. Times are crazy right now and people lashing out. Good luck to us all. Just saying.
Sounds about right for current BNYM culture - all politics, laying off people who actually do work and know something and keeping useless 'bulldogs' that just whip remaining poor souls.
