Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

How is April looking regarding layoffs?

Any reliable info? I just can’t believe that the layoffs are done and I suspect that they will continue throughout April, if nothing in smaller batches, so I ask has anybody heard anything and If yes, where can we expect them to occur and in what degree?

My SUB package states that the displaced employee is not eligible for merit raises while receiving SUB pay. I hope that changes for those that are displaced in the future. Good luck to you all. I miss my co-workers dearly.

I heard that the SUB package includes your bonus and salary increase on schedule. So let’s all hope we still get SUB packages and look forward to a nice long summer vacation. :-)

Thanks to those sharing what they know. The official sources such as the intranet are nothing but empty corporate claptrap.

They finalize the 3rd week May and you will be let go first week of June. Depending if your manger is decent...you will know end of May or June.

I am not surprised about the June layoffs, I was expecting this so they won't have to pay for the merit raises we received in February. They will work you til just about the end and then they will lay you off just before your raise is scheduled to go into effect. That's my take, hopefully I am wrong but it makes sense in my book if they are trying to save money and cheat the hard working employees.

Pittsburgh layoffs in June. I know this for a fact. Unfortunately I cannot speak to anything happening in April or May.
