Most incomprehensible actions stem from incompetence.
Many of my coworkers have cooked up all these conspiracy type theories to explain managements actions or inactions. Yeah of course people want to be able to explain things, but having sat through meetings with many of the leaders, my coworkers are giving them way too much credit. The leaders simply do not know what they are doing. Hackett can’t acknowledge that he has an inept leadership team, so they will claim that they entrusted the reDesign to an outside consulting firm.
Someone asked at dept meeting why contractors weren’t going first. The answer was that this lay-off was about which functions were needed, not what type of resource was doing them. The next question was well, why wouldn’t you release contractor and then move the employee to that function. There was no answer just some shrugging.
My LL5 is a tool so I can tell you that anyone who isn’t in the arse kissing club will most certainly be on his hit list. Other LL5 might do what is right for the company not what is good for their ego.
Couldn’t agree more. The OP is @Yrx4q5A-afv
