Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Best decision for me was to leave

I left with almost 4 years under my belt. I took the vsp and left before my date. I knew i was going no where and I could not stand and let my family suffer any longer being a eternal 2nd shift stat builder. I had the skills my previous job i was mgmt in a simlar role with Blue. But it was not in my cards at Red. I took a govt job for slightly less. Best decision for me was to leave. Being a CORe spec. it was fun the job was not that bad but i could not sit in that seat any longer knowing i was reduced to just being there I deserved more and the worse thing was my skills and potential was never even tapped. Good luck to all on what ever your decisions are and or was I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt leaving was best I actually stayed too long

Went through the same things, had the same experiences like @YtLOrOh-hkr . Thought this was a good post.

I left Vz finance with the first round of vsp & have been pleasantly surprised. Started a new job within 2 weeks making more money in a new industry. My superiors are actually qualified to lead instead of being middle management b--ches without degrees or leadership ability.

I should have left a long time ago, but being paid to leave was nice. No more being hassled or micro-managed. Life is good

Thank you for sharing my post. This was truly a odd clicky place to work for. At least in my dept. I will miss the phone company have 14 years with corp Blue and 4 years with corp Red. It all together was a good almost 20 years. Thank you Blue corp for showing me my skills and improving me and for making me a better person believing in me and teaching a vast wealth of knowledge of customer care six sigma and other tools. Thank you Red corp for being Red corp you never tapped me but thanks anyway for pointing me in the right direction to get me to where I needed to be.
