Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

What’s next on chopping block?

With F&R gone, what’s next - Legal and Corprorates which have been growing very slow, similar to F&R, or TA, which is growing at high rate? Even Corporate has overlap between Legal and TA products.

Why would anyone want to buy Reuters? F&R (now Refinitiv) had always propped it up like Welfaretown within TR. Take away that support and Reuters would be bleeding to oblivion.

@hfy Reuters financial news is pretty abysmal. Have you ever seen a PE firm throw $325m a year on a subpar product?

I don’t think Reuters will be chopped off. It’s getting $325M for next 30 years so it’s pretty safe.
