Once Eddie has these smaller format stores he won't need the larger stores that are left. He can sell them off or lease the larger formats. Just my opinion.

SHO POS is 3 years behind and full of issues! Eddie has a plan and it doesn’t involve Hometown.

Eddie buys these stores and then closes and sells off the crumbling stores he bought from bankruptcy. Transformation complete. Then he goes to work destroying the new stores.

"After that he starts reacquiring everything K-Mart divested itself of in the 1990's and 1980's."

Cool. I still miss Border's. Bring back Builder's Square! And PACE warehouse stores!

Eddie wants to buy Lands' End, Allstate Insurance, and Coldwell Banker. He plans to rehire everyone he laid off over the last 14 years. After that he starts reacquiring everything K-Mart divested itself of in the 1990's and 1980's.

Rumor is he is in talks with IBM and CBS to restart Prodigy with low-cost dial up service too.

RR Donnelley is starting to place huge orders for paper as the catalogs will start coming off the presses soon.

Eddie is such a visionary. Don't you just love him to death?!?!?!?!?!?!

New Sears needs the buying power and the relationship SHOS has with Whirlpool.

I know that SHOS was working with I.T. consultants to build a new supply chain ordering system the last few years and by now they should be ready to roll. Maybe Eddie will use their development efforts to finally retire the old legacy apps that Sears was using and jump on the new SHOS system. This might be viable now that the store count has shrunk down to ... what... 500 stores between Sears & Kmart? Plus their new 'small' store strategy actually competes against the Outlet format. He can use some of those smaller locations and continue to close the larger department store formats that are left. That's the only logical reason(s) I could see him wanting to re-acquire SHOS.
