I went to visit the Wayne, NJ store and it’s probably the best sears store I’ve seen. The store was actually clean and stocked and the employees didn’t look miserable. It was shrunken down from its original size and now it shares space with a Dave and Busters. All stores should be run like that one. There was actual foot traffic. You can tell the employees care. I wonder how they do overall?

The Wayne store looks like a Bloomingdale's compared to the Sears in Woodbridge Mall. Burned out light bulbs throughout the store, ripped up 1980s wallpaper, stained and chemical burned carpets, and the escalators that are perpetually broken. The eerie and creepy third floor looks like a Soviet-bloc department store in the 1980s... no product, broken shelving and displays, burned out and flickering lights. And what's with the "Showcase" signage -- that entire product mix of foreign department store designer clothing was abandoned two years ago. It's so dark in the dark blue painted former Lands End section occupied by plus women's clothing you should be carrying a flashlight.
sharing space with Dave and Busters, .............................Alcohol may be a factor to people's pleasant demeanor if they are employed by Sears. They could be just buzzed enough to be laughing at the customers because otherwise, their job would make them cry.

You forgot-The employees all received lobotomies courtesy of the restructured medical plan.
Anyone, anyone, anyone still working for this company deserves nothing but what is coming. The ship is sinking. Get off.
It very good store nice items
Sharing space with a sports bar?
Employee's probably aren't miserable because they can take their breaks/lunch in someplace other than the break room.
It is my understanding that Wayne (#1434) is still one of the better stores in terms of revenue. When I worked there (25 yrs ago) it was a Top 5 store. Maybe it still is. They seem very busy on weekends.
The remodeling results are nice overall and specifically in the tool department.
