Can you apply for an opening at BNYM without risking your severance? If you can, is there any time limit between being laid off and being able to reapply?

Seriously u cannot find any other company to apply ? I mean is the BNY branding that bad , that an ex Bny employee cannot get a job also in another company ? seriously ! Cmon
Yes, you can apply even interview, however if you don't want the job tell them right away. If they formally offer you the position and you turn them down, you may lose your sub pay.
