Managers decide how many employees get laid off!
Your managers dont know. They may know heresay.
When i was fired, neither my manager or all the way up to vp knew in advance.
And, if youre wondering why your manager or 2 managers removed has no impact on your tpt ranking and bonus, youre onto something.
Up is run by hr (aka skynet) and evps playing chess with peoples careers that they never met. They get off on this kind of c-ap.

Our manger knew 3 weeks before we were let go and even told us. The only thing he didnt know was how many.
Managers don’t get advanced notice. They find out the day of just like everyone else. Only top execs and certain HR personnel know in advance.
They know something is up ahead of time, but they learn the actual numbers of each craft on a monthly labor call. It gets out to everyone shortly after that.
Im not sure but some of the Top Brass of the company know once they get down to brass tacs
Managers do not know when other managers are being let go, due to fact that it could be them, they know Day of just as person being let go. Only top level management knows as in at Omaha offices.
The superintendents to smto should be worried right now. Field managers Mto and below are already sparse for workload.
