Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

“Just look at the Xerox Team of Top Executives. They have all come from HP. Icahn has known HP was the target acquiring company, so you bring in some former HP insiders to grease the rails for a big deal. HP doesn't want ALL of Xerox, just parts. This is why Xerox is transitioning to a holding company, so they can package up parts of the company for individual sale to different companies. MDS/Sales/Distribution/Service to HP, Lease portfolio to Wells Fargo, CIT, etc., PARC to some Silicon Valley tech company (probably just for the land), and toner manufacturing in Webster...heck, we'll throw that in for free to HP (BOGO).“

I think the land and PARC building are owned by Stanford University. Only thing I can see of value to a buyer would be anything currently being developed there (if there is anything of marketable value) and patents. When I left a few years ago, the place was starting to look very deserted. Perhaps someone would want the furniture and lab equipment.
