I got a really good offer from a startup, but I'm hesitant to accept it due to all the uncertainties when it comes to job security in new companies. But then again, job security hasn't been a thing at Cisco either for a while now.
What do you guys think, is this job safer than a job at a startup?

The only companies with job security have solid revenue growth.... Workday, Salesforce, Linkedin
The only job security these days is having a good skill set. That said, Cisco is more about politics vs skill set, so go for the startup.
There’s no job security anywhere anymore. Take a chance on the startup, learn something new and see where it goes. You can always come back to Cisco if it doesn’t work out.
Are you really going to take “advice” from strangers on a site who don’t know you, don’t know your organisation, your boss, your other leaders, or anything about your popularity / performance? If you’re that desperate for advice, go and get your tarot cards read... they would probably be more trustworthy/insightful!
