It's retail...anything over min. wage is surprising. You all knew this when you signed up. You shouldn't try to make a career out of it.

It's all part-time jobs with no benefits
$8.55 an hour starting wage in Ohio. Supervisory starts at $9.70. No raises since 2008 unless you have a position change that pays more. Turnover is rampant. I only stay because it works for me part time.
@1hjw No one in my store makes $16.25 an hour and that includes the SST Supervisor.
Sears Michigan still pays min wage now at $9.45 hour to part timers
I just left a Target store. One register was open with a just few people but they had full carts...so there was about a 15 person backup at the self check area...after some grumpy comments from the line another check out was opened... but regardless what was 5 people making $10 an hour is 1 making $15...$35 dollars savings and it's the same everywhere so where are you going and who won !

Sounds like a bunch of teachers. Accept the job knowing full well how much you're going to get paid and then complaining that the pay is too low.

Wait you guys in retail make less than 15 an hr? Wow that's crazy, come over to service and you'll be somewhere between 20 to 30 an hr.
