Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

OMG Where are the morals anymore?

I walked in today had to go up to the office to get with a ASM I walk in and our Store Manager has a department supervisor in tears yelling at them? What did this person do to warrant such treatment? I asked them later what it was about. The Supervisor in question did not answer a call at 6AM from the store manager on their day off. This sales at all cost and people are disposable mindset that has taken over is really starting to hit the limits. SMH

ANY manager that even tries to disrespect an associate in that fashion should be walked into the receiving area to receive the carpet pole in thy arse.

Answering the work call on your day off is WORKING! Lowes has been sued over and over for this bs. If the manager is too fing stupid to figure it out without calling then he shouldn’t be the manager

I honestly dont know why any manager need to call you on your day off, unless its about a shift change that is imminent. Ive had store managers that would call managers to yell about the condition of the store. Why? All you are doing is training your staff not to answer when you call.

I legit jump when my phone rings now due to years of various store managers doing this.

For the amount Lowe’s pays unless you are desperate for work, just use call forward and forward any call to you back to the store on your day off or send it to voice mail. I hike where there are no cell towers on my days off.

When they double cashiers, loaders, CSA’s

Salaries with bonuses I might choose to stick around.

thats what ive been saying. only way to incentivize your store management to do unethical, immoral things to put a whole lot of money in front of them. its disgusting how theyre acting (asm and sm).....screaming at people who are doing everything they possibly can to make their stores successful....while all the while now stating they no longer have to do any of the grunt work of the store...they need only delegate and oversee that it got done!

if you watched the broadcast from the National sales meeting, the CEO mentioned to the SM's and DM's that their bonus structure would be twice a year and potentially doubled in relation to their salaries. He asked that we just "push a little harder" in an attempt to go from good to great. So many of the managers will be pushing much harder to achieve their carrot and pity the b--tard that gets in their way. Push a little more is code for any and all costs

I'd not be surprised to see the SM at my store do that.

I heard about that too, it’s a shame what Lowes has become.
