I’m really getting fed up with the constant fear that we’re facing, and I believe that the majority of the other employees feel the same way. Does anybody realise that a day didn’t go by this year without at least rumors of layoffs, and in the majority of days did not end without actual layoffs at some part of the company. We all know about the plan, reductions, why don’t they just rip the bandage off. It’s one thing to live in fear, but this is death by a thousand cuts.

I felt nervous everyday also, than I started saving extra money and cutting expenses, now I don’t care what they do. I’m ready
UP is a joke. Better accept it now and move on.
One of our pipefitters just got cut and his wife found out on facebook before he did.
San Joaquin valley Railroad is a RRB paying carrier. Hiring. Look the UP.
Good luck.
Why all the derailments today
They can't do us all at once, to much embarrassment and public shame to be had going that route. Look at what General Motors went through announcing their big layoff of 15000. That said they also didn't count on the public outcries and our own contempt and hatred as the employees that make the company what it is.
If you've got a lot of service months in the bank just ride it out until they furlough you. Collect the unemployment and find another railroad job....if you could careless about railroad retirement then I'd suggest you start looking for other work now. I agree that This place is pretty depressing
Hope you weren't bashing scabs and then go work for a scab company
Could just quit if you are so f---in nervous
I think the biggies are just as worried as the union members! Just maybe they realize unified 2020 isn't doing any justice to the nation's railroads and the economy!
