Their plan all looks good on paper until the ones that actually have to do the work run into all of the "hiccups". We have had several slot tags (CIM labels) from the D.C. (sometimes a whole truck) not scan. Therefore having to remake all new tags. And then when binning, you keep your fingers crossed that your held is actually going to work. This is why some of ours isn't binned. A person gets fed up fighting with it to get it to work. When teamleads do the audits and have to walk isle for isle searching for items not binned, that is time wasted. One finds a whole pallet that wasn't on hand or even don't have a whole pallet of something. Soooo by not physically checking in a truck like before and just downloading it into the system you get what you get and have to jump through hoops to get things straightened out. Our shrink seems to be through the roof to me but to our CM and other higher ups...………...they're ok with it. Pitiful

When receiving a pallet, you swipe left and select more optiions, then select Print CIM tag.

So far with this CIM stuff. We had a trailer dropped behind our building the driver took his truck to a truck stop and called dispatch and quit. 3 missing trailers were found still sitting in the DC yard.

Binning and picking works if everyone else does their part. Try working inventory when the only team leads you have are the Front End and Marketing. Want guess the probability of them learning this process.

Its all fun and games until some kid (or a forklift) scratches that sticker off the steel, then the whole bay is not 'binned'. And who can make replacement stickers? No one seems to know.

No one at my club even knows how to make a pallet label with the new system. They do it all thru legacy. How's that going to work when they finally get rid of the smart system and a DC isn't scanning? They are currently double scanning things, first to check it in, and again with a different handheld to make a label. What a huge waste of time!

As far as DC trucks go, the company has decided that if items are not correct on clubs DC trucks, then the company will assume that the mistake was made by the DC. Ultimately if the DC checks in the product from the vendors correctly at the DC, no matter if a mistake is made by the DC when they send the product to the clubs, it is still in the company’s inventory ultimately.

Example, DC ships your club the wrong paper towels, even if you find the mistake and have it corrected by the DC, the “corporation” has not lost a pallet of paper towels, the towels either went to another club by accident, or they are still at the DC and will be over the next time the DC does a audit. Now if the DC doesn’t correctly receive the 22 pallets of paper towels correctly when P&G ships them to the DC, then the “corporation” is going to be short a pallet of paper towels. So home office figures on that senecio, it doesn’t matter if the DC takes the hit and has to CO out the pallet of towels or if the club ultimately has to CO out the paper towels the next time there is a audit, the “corporation” is still out a pallet of towels. You have to find A LOT OF MISTAKES at club level to justify having the old Audit Team of 3 FT associates to make up for the added shrink that comes with the Audit Team elimination.

Example:

3 FT Audit Associates probably cost the company $100,000 a year per club when you factor in their salary and benefits package all together. That allows each club to have roughly $2000 a week in mistakes from the DC (52 weeks x $2000 = $104,000 a year per club). And again, of those $2000 a week DC mistakes, the “corporation” can safely say that over half of the mistakes are kept within the DC/Club structure, meaning that they are probably either still at the DC or have been sent as extra to another club, either way, the mistake did not cost the “corporation” any lost merchandise.

DC forgets to send you a pallet of foam cups, if you don’t catch it on the DC truck as short, the club is out around $250. So you would need to have 8 pallets of foam cups a week wrong EVERY WEEK to just break even with the savings each club received by no longer having 3 Audit Associates.

Well you better figure out how to get those pallets binned correctly because in the future, once stocking goes to days, the forklift drivers in my area are going to fix any audits that are messed up because of not using proper CIM procedures. Let the people who are not doing their jobs properly get a stiff neck searching for items on audits. After doing a couple complete audits of spices and cat 54 otc, I have a feeling that the CIM program will get better real quick!!

You still are suppose to check the full pallets off of the truck. It is only the mix that you dont check
