Chevron could close COVINGTON and house dW GOM in the APC building

Chevron has been trying to consolidate offices across town, so they are unlikely to revise this tend! That said, a new tower downtown, already needed before the acquisition, will take years to build so I expect our new Woodsland office will be there for a while. What BU will be moved there is an open question: Permian basin?
If the Woodlands office is owned 100% by APC, I think it will be kept for a number of years to house both Chevron and Anadarko employees until a decision is made on headcount and required workspace. There’s no reason to hastily get rid of it.

They would need to build more than 1 if true. APC doesn’t have nearly the space CVX would require. I hope we move some operations up there though for the folks with families who don’t want to commute.
