Severance ha lucky!! We will not be receiving severance for nights going to two different shifts. I will be damned if Sam's will tell me that I have to go to another shift. When I started at Sam's I gave them my availability Saturday - Sunday 9 PM to 6 am. The new shifts do not fall in that.

Call the severance team, I called them and they let me know my severance will be in the bank on April 18th.
checks are issued on regular Walmart pay periods. depending on when you submitted your signed paperwork will determine which pay period it will fall in. mine was direct deposited like all other checks. but with the new changes for 2019 maybe they're being mailed now? just have to have patience.
Hint = once check is issued it arrives by mail. After confirming check was posted on Thursday, payday, you can call them and say snail mail won’t do and that you need the check NOW. More likely than not they will overnight a re-issued check to your address. Done.

Lol! Nope they won't notify you, you have to ask one of those "People" that are supposed to be "helping" you. Let me tell you, they definitely won't go out of their way to give you any information. I heard if you are eligible for a severance it does not get mailed out until after your termination date. Example: If your term date was 3/29 it gets mailed that following Monday. Don't think they actually send out on the 29th. Then you get a certain length of time to dispute. Then they have a certain number of days after you sign & send back for them to mail you your severance. For specific days, send an email to HR...if you can find one not hiding right now.
