Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell Toxic Like a Prison

Is it just me or does it feel like Honeywell is a bit like a prison with a management hierarchy that pushes it. I am glad to see an influx of new hires just out of school but seems like the old timers are being given the proverbial SHAFT !

Protect the young and advice them from working in these conditions. Our future is our young ones. We need to protect them and advise them to work in an environment of respect and dignity.

Currently, there is no such thing in Honeywell. It's a purely toxic environment!

You all are the problem. Be positive or let people who care work here.

bgc,

Has there been a timeline given for the proposed closing of the Coon Rapids and Golden Valley facilities.

I left Honeyhell about two and a half years ago. During my career with them I worked at pretty much every facility in the Twin Cities area at some point.

Are they planning on moving the CR and GV production and services to the Stinson and Plymouth facilities?

You are only a prisoner if you are waiting for a retirement package, or you unfortunately work in a city and/or in a family situation where you HAVE to work there.

If not in that situation, get out of there now, while the getting out is good is my advice. Update your skills NOW if you arn't marketable enough to get out. This economic ride will crash one day, then it will be too late.

Be flexible and think outside your normal box. There are jobs out there. For now.

The lack of new products or large visible brand platforms makes the work feel like "pounding rocks".

There are a few toy projects around that might be fun to work but none of them have customers. The level of investment in those projects makes it clear that leadership isn't willing to commit.
