Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Is there anyone that’s satisfied with block scheduling?

I’m scrolling through these post and I can't seem to find a single positive comment about block scheduling. I share that dissatisfaction, but at the same time I can’t get it through my head that the leadership doesn’t see a promplem with imposing a change that every single associate find stupid and not good.

What are team leads working? Based on seniority like other hourlies I assume?

There is no advantage to block scheduling if you have a family. Never get to see your spouse or children for any significant amount of time. Their endgame is to drive out most full time employees and hire part time. This is the new business model. The next change will be robotic employees. Not that we already aren't

Doing what is expected, willing to learn new things and not complaining has always been what I go by. But everyone has their limits. Some people are reaching theirs. To @mif just because you're probably sitting in your parents basement playing video games in your spare time does not give you the right to judge everyone. We all have families that we care about. Step aside lonely boy. The adults are talking.

Felicia— since when has assuming got you anywhere? Who said I have a job? If you assume on here, then most likely you do the same at work — that’s an opportunity, not a strength. You should stop with the attacks.

“Not your thing” then GTFO, you and your poor attitude. You don’t like your job? Then grow up and get another one, all you are doing now is flooding the site and your club with childish bs.

Goodbye Felicia 👋

Lots of opportunities coming with Block Scheduling and Daylight Stocking. It’s good to be a exceeds expectation rated associate, I will have my pick of which shifts or areas meet my needs. Sorry, not sorry to all the people that will flame 🔥🔥 out soon. Thank you all for allowing the people that do not complain, and make changes when the company asks us, again it’s proof that hard work and evolution to met the new retail landscape will be exciting!

When you do what is asked of you, do not complain, and are willing to learn new areas, then you will be stress free, and never have to worry about job security. And the 40 days a year PTO time is the cherry 🍒 on top of it all.

That’s a vacation week in:

March - May - July - October = 20hr

3 day weekend in February, April, June, August, September, and November = 18hr

With a couple hours left in PPTO to cover the occasional late or leave early occurrence.

I too like my paycheck, but I will not sacrifice my family for their poorly executed decisions. All these people can brag about 401K, PTO, paycheck and blah blah blah. Sure it's all good, but my kids are better. My husband and my children need and deserve my time more than Sam's does. I will try this block scheduling, but if it's something that pushes me to my limit of what I'm willing to do then I will go elsewhere. And it's looking like that is what will happen. And I will be just fine without that PTO, 401K and everything else.

Our club is still in the dark as to how this is all going to work. How does the old receiving / backroom operates and how many associates actually work back there? What's the hours / days? How do the fresh depts. operate? How many roaming floor stockers are there on a daily schedule? We will we know? We are slated for end of June and management keeps saying they dont know but you know they do. Any answers out there?????

at some point even the most compliant will be nauseated by the stupidity and will chafe from the abuse. I cause very few waves because I too like a paycheck , benefits etc but that does not keep me from knowing we are lied to , cheated and abused. Home office makes changes that might not be too bad but local managers do everything in their power to assure that a miserable experience is had by all.

Thats why they are the employer, and we are the employees. We get paid to listen to them. I might not like it. But I enjoy my paycheck, my benefits, my stock, my 401k, Love my PTO payout and Im sure I'll enjoy my 4 bonuses a year. And thats why I work what im scheduled and not complain like a whiney child
