Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

aero reorgs .. again.

managers huddled. directors traveling. mandatory training.

All the signs of yet-another-reorg in progress.

guessing our manager ranks will soon be thinned out.

They can't hire people to do real work so likely they will just force managers back to individual contributor jobs.

A Honeywell manager is the best at being able to convince leadership it isn't their fault. And say yes a lot, and point. (All Managers I deal with do no work)

Haven't you heard? The "new" Honeywell is coming. It's gonna be great!

Mostly managers protect the people who get work done from the executives trying to change everything just because they read a book recently that said it was a good idea.

Real message of a reorg is that something isn’t working and at least one t2 (only people who matter) is no longer able to blame their predecessor.

They ask for metric in 20 different formats so they can cut and paste in their slides.

Check spelling, grammar and non value added items so they feel important.

This is specially prevalent in the PSC .org in Aero Phx. Mangers are non value added and try to make their employees feel stupid. Not working.

Not my T4 manager. He does his day to day manager duties and is in the trenches with the rest of us.

Good example, but at this pace I fear he’s going to burn out fairly soon...
