I'm 55 and almost made an appointment with my LL3 to tell her to put my name on the "to go" list and save someone else, but my wife talked me out of it. If I get tapped I'm ready to retire. If not, I'm gone in two years max, anyway. I've taken 7 vacation days and several sick/personal days in the past month. Really, what do they expect? 27 years and it ends like this...

What we have seen is that shuffling has occurred at the LL2-LL4 level, such that the LL2 did not have but 4 direct reports, and then they suddenly aquired two more LL4's under them to protect themselves. This activity has continued and now the head cut #'s will come from within the LL5, LL6 and GSR's. Once again, the Indians will pay for it with their lives and the layers of management still exist. Wake up Jimbo......

It is amazing how often the arsonist and fire fighter are the same person. Here let me set this fire and then get accolades for putting it out.
So many people are hung up on the 30 years pension amounts. It’s a big deal if you have no savings. If you have managed to save 10x your salary or 25x your yearly expenses, your good to go. The pension is gravy on top of your savings.
Been there, done that, saw this coming and took the PRP last fall (26 years of service) and haven’t looked back. I gave up Ford so I could devote 100% my time to free time. Every night is Friday and every day is Saturday. Leave now and very quickly you will find no regrets.

Listen to your wife. Your pension increases substantially when you obtain 30 years. Recommend reviewing your benefits online.
I have 22 years at my company, I'm looking to make 25, hopefully, but it's obvious they have other plans for me, like being replaced by younger workers. At this point I don't care, I don't want to see another car or have anything to do with automotive looking forward to doing something completely different.
Are you a LL5 or LL6? How often do you talk with an LL3?
