Okay, so I have been told by a team lead and confirmed with a manager that pretty much the only way to get a day off (besides the regular two you are scheduled off) is to use PTO else you are out of luck. So need a day next month for whatever and not enough PTO to use oh well your up a creek. Anyone else hear about this happening with block scheduling?

What is legacy time? Where does it come from? It is from about 3 years ago.
What makes everyone angry about PTO is that you have to earn your hours by coming to work.
For the longevity associates these new programs being added and updated are a step backwards to the older system that were abused.
Yes you can take unpaid time off. If after 12 weeks your average hours work goes below 32, then will you potentially lose your full time status. If you are taking 1 day off unpaid a week for 12 weeks then you are in the wrong business and shouldn't be in retail.

Relax Z1hjMjx-hff. Don't want those knickers bunching. I never said I was full time. And in this state, we started with zero PPTO. Hard to waste what you don't have. You jolly people have fun now. Try to play nice.
I already have some unpaid time off in the system for some days in the next month...I'm not changing them to PTO vacation days so oh well

With the number of associates being reduced or moved around, unpaid time off is generally not approved. If you really need time off for doctor appointment ask for the hours needed not the whole day or used a vacation day. Managers have a responsibility to act in the best interest of Sam's Club; this means having coverage to assist the members, if you do not have vacation/PTO available, cannot get someone to switch days off with you, talk to your manager, have a good valid reason and give them ample time to work a solution. Remember most managers approve PTO request before unpaid time off.
If you’ve used all your time your f---ing greedy and don’t really want full time. If your one of them give your full time up it’s simple. Stop trying to manipulate the system. You talk about the agenda the company has please, you folks bend, flex and find loop holes for everything.
No you cannot take unpaid tome off. Your full time for a reason. If you’ve p-ss-d away all your time that’s on you, put back a few days for a rainy day.
I take unpaid time off for doctor appointments. Can we still take unpaid time off?
You can't take unpaid time off?
Fake news
If you look at the bottom of the GTA page, it explains how it works with your time. I.E. if you don't have enough PTO, it will take the rest from PPTO. If you don't have the time there, it will take it from the 'legacy' time. But you have to tell it PTO-Family. Not sure why that is but its no big deal to me to click family instead of personal or vacation.
