A big part of my team has been let go. We were long time coworkers and they were some good people and good workers, so I don’t have to tell anyone how we took it. The rest of us that got to stay are in some sort of shock which is starting to affect are everyday work and even the results. Any similar situations at other places?

Don’t worry, they only cut the smart ones.
90% of the people I worked with on a day to day basis are now gone. We did project based work. With the projects and the people gone the rest of us waiting for the involuntary axe to come down. There’s no work and we are not working so cut us.
