My LL5 just confirmed what we already knew, next Tuesday. It will be a difficult week for sure.

It depends on where you are. Where I’m at, the LL4 calendar is normal. Different places, different days, I guess.

I think it's very likely for something to happen next week, almost a definite, at least in certain departments. Our department was told that all actions would be completed by the end of May, so there is not much time left for that. If you're unsure, check your LL4 or LL3's calendar, but I can confirm what others have said about them having next week all blocked out. This is not just fear mongering. Things are being kept very quiet, so no one knows for sure, but all signs seem to point to next week.

I too have heard the 21st will be the day. Individual meetings on new job, same job, or no job. I suppose it might depend on where you work within the company but I’m expecting the ax to fall next week. The waiting has been a form of psychological torture!

I work in PD. My LL4 has always had an open calendar for the past 3+ years. As of yesterday, he had about 40+ private appointments (each 20 minutes long) for next week. As of today, he has the entire days of 21st, 22nd, 23rd blocked off of his calendar, and switched his Outlook settings to Private so none of his meetings are visible.

Our department structure was finalized on the 7th of May, but it takes HR 1-2 weeks to finalize the severance packages and whatnot. Hence next week will be my D-day (same job, new job, no job). No clue what's going to happen, but it's out of my control at this point.

I'm looking at my LL5, LL4, and LL2 to calendar up through the end of May and there is absolutely nothing like what I have read in the above-mentioned post. Stop spreading lies and fear.

Was specifically told June\July. Survived all previous layoffs, however, this one is particularly brutal. Older now too. Adds to the stress. Hello hypertension.

Keep in mind that for the last go around, notices on calendars in some cases were very late to appear, as to not necessarily signal ahead of time. Check your LL4 calendars for 615 to 7am on Tuesday mornings. That is a standard Smart Redesign Status meeting. News would likely be communicated via that meeting.

I checked mine today and nothing. I also checked my LL2, and nothing. I think some people just like to spread fear.

Go watch Hendricks last chat from first week of May. He clearly states that by LATE spring the actions will be complete, he also stated it would take a month or two to finalize actions, then reiterated it would be complete by LATE spring. Summer starts June 21st 2019. So for some groups this will string out another 6 weeks. I too have checked my LL4 and LL3 calendars, no meetings scheduled.

If it was really a “Smart Design” - you would hope they will release all the employees they don’t want 1st then talk to the remaining employees. I’m sure the employees tapped are not interested in knowing what coworkers got the nod to remain.

How nice of them to take time out of their busy schedules to meet with everyone. They sure do care about us!

We were told the same. Meetings are to tell you that you have the same job, a new job, or no job.

Try not to worry, I was told they would meet with us regardless. To either discuss our new role, what our current role would be or if we even have a role. They are trying to meet with everyone.
