I get so tired of reading if Sam Walton was alive. If he was alive his children would still run the ship. The board of investors would also run the ship, Sam would have little say in today’s market. I’m sure as a business man he would roll with the times and his competitors.
And also he’s not alive , so let go of his leadership style that went away in the 90’s . Retail you work weekends... get an office job if you don’t want to work weekends or Chic Fil A!

I'm just tired of the hypocrisy of this company. Yes Sam is dead so maybe they should take down his pictures that are plastered all over the clubs

Also I agree Sam is dead but the company needs to stop using his principles of service & caring about associates and their families. That's where my frustration comes from but I'm pretty happy with my situation now after all these changes. Retail is retail and I have always worked weekends. It's a for profit business only for sure. At least CFL has a day of rest for its employees & has 2-3 times more employees working their food areas than Sam's when you compare apples to apples.
I had to laugh when I went to academy. The kept bringing up chic fil a. A woman in class told the instructor the reason they are so happy is because they are off every Sunday.
@vnm has anger issues but he is right with the first part of his comment. Sam's does take you to Chick-fil-A for training. When you work in the fresh department they take you, buy you a meal and you watch what they do there. You are supposed to pick up on their customer service and other things. Pretty sad isn't it?
Sam’s has always been retail !!!! The new scheduling just doesn’t work for some. We have a lot of are people going to Target. They start out at 13.50 then after training it goes up to 14.50 . Oh and they will work with your schedule. So if you have kids or a life you should try them out. So for you that are crying on here about retail NOT all companies screws their people. And keep the money in there pockets. Oh and Target also gives out bonuses. ( for real not wait until the end and tell you that you didn’t make the numbers).

Funny thing. These MM, regionals and HO personnel have the managers who attend meetings visit Chick-fil-a's to show how customer service should be. Something you and many associates know nothing about. Now get back to work, earn that paycheck and stay in line with the rest. Stop worrying about others.
