Thread regarding Spirit AeroSystems layoffs

Cash Cow

The 737 has been Boeing and spirit aerosystems cash cow for years. This cash cow is not producing yet boeing still paying its suppliers how much longer can this go on ? If the 737 max does not fly soon boeing and its suppliers like spirit aerosystems will have too layoff workers unless monopoly money becomes legal currency! Boeing needs a get out of jail free card right about now !! Spirit aerosystems fuselages production is moving full steam ahead and going to fall a little short on their bottom line.

Amen. It's crazy how this is going. Feels like we're working ourselves out of a job. Slow and ride this wave would be my opinion. Something has to happen. We just can't keep this up much longer. Cutting some of the excess maybe would help a bit what do some of those people do anyway?

No mater the aerospace company, Managers lie. After your personally experience this fact you lose respect for the company you work for and trusting them or managers.

Plan for the worst, hope things get better before your number comes up. In mean time start job search just in case.

If it’s only for two weeks, than it’s called a furlough, not a layoff.

If you did work at Spirit your English would be better. Watch for your two week lay-off in July.
