The Jewelry tiers are horrible. You get the lowest commission untill you ring over 100,000 in sales. (starting in February) You next bump up a few percent is over 300,000 and so on. it takes you 6 months to get to the second tier and if you reach the 3rd its probably December and you on have a month before it resets again.

You receive no commission on what you sell most. INC fashion Jewelry, Charter Fashion Jewelry and last Act fashion Jewelry.

Stores that still have draw versus commission programs are going to base plus 1%. Those high rates mentioned already (6%-8%) will all go away, you won’t get those on a base plus program. Tiers will go in effect once next fiscal year starts and they look at your sales from now through Jan.

Very strange. Men’s suits haven’t been commission in our district for years. And I’m our district, the only stores where shoes still generate commission are the ones where associates still have to retrieve the shoes. Stores that went open sell no longer give commission to shoe sales associates.

Ive got the paperwork in my hand..Commission can be anywhere from 1.5 to 5.50 based on your accumulated sales levels. I believe this goes for mens shoes, and men's suits. It will begin June 30th.

I know every department is different for commission rates. I believe women's shoes is the highest around 8 or 9%.

New rates in shoes. Shoes rate is based on the total amount of shoes you sell and then the rates increase as you sell more shoes. You will get a raise on your base and that also depends on how much you have sold , but not because of longevity with the company.

Are they eliminating commissions in the shoe department?

If you are a union store check your contract. I do not believe they can eliminate commissions if negotiated in your contract. Check with your local union to be sure.
