Just got off conference call and they are changing the way block works for team leads. You will no longer be locked in to AM or PM. You can be scheduled on either throughout the course of the week to cover days off and vacations across the shifts.
This is a terrible update for everyone involved regardless of where you were previously assigned.
Shows that the company has gotten strong reactions to the change and have no idea how to deal with it.

Our HO doesnt know what they are doing. Go public with all these new changes then within a couple weeks here comes change again. Sounds like Elementary School. Geez Sam's Club Home Office get your sh-- together. This roller coaster ride is getting old

@Z5WMJsu-1bnd its not a set schedule. All four fresh leads will rotate, and managers will have autonomy to plug leads into unfilled shifts due to vacations I think

Merchandising leads are not on set schedule. They will be flipping from one to the other over the course of the week.

I was shown my new schedule sheets today. Rotating opening and closing shifts daily, rotating full weekends and Saturdays off for fresh leads.
FLOOR LEADS .....It's still a block schedule for leads ! If you were an AM before you still are ! Same for PM! YOU WILL NOT BE SWITCHING FROM AM TO PM !!! The only thing changing is you SET days off. You will now get A Saturday and Sunday off each month. Fresh is the ONLY area SWITCHING back and forth AM /PM

Fresh lead has rotating schedule, open 3 (6-230) close 2 (1-9:30) a week with one weekend off a month.

Although I knew it was not going to work in the long run this is effing ridiculous. School is out in 3 weeks for my children she I have already had to not only have my husband change his availability at his place of employment but also had to hire a daycare provider to accommodate my schedule. Now its all changing? Before it even started? Are you kidding me. I've been with this company 17 yeara and never have I ever seen such a mess.

If this happens in fresh, do you think it will be within the departments, or between the leads because of some misguided reason they may think the leads are interchangeable?

They don’t have to give you 8 hrs rest between shifts. I’m sure that something you signed when accepting a job that you glossed over waives them of this.
This is so messed up.
Our manager said he would be making the schedules and would be sure that it didn’t happen where you close at 11:30 and open at 4 am. I think we know how that will end up going.
Regardless it is a horrible idea jumping around to such different shifts.
