Thread regarding Ford layoffs

OMFG Can We Get This Over With Already?

WTF are we supposed to do today and Monday? Does anything even matter? I say Monday is Bring Your Dog to Work Day. They do it for kids, but what about people whose pets are their kids?

What else can I do to make it through Monday? Spike my coffee? Baileys or Kahlua anyone?

Pajama day? Crazy hat day? Literally what are they going to do? Shots at Oakwood Grill at lunchtime!

Yes I realize this is dumb but I am trying to stay sane.

@ the Stop Whining poster.... you must be new. Skill sets have nothing to do with it. Just go to a different thread and post your fantasy thoughts there

Wow, you people are super uncreative, no wonder these cars we make are snooze worthy. No one can think of a single fun thing to do on posibly our last day here ever? I like the spiked coffee and shots at lunch. Other ideas: Foam party, Orchestrate a dancing flash mob in WHQ Lobby, Set up karaoke in the cafeteria, Ride the Ford Shutle to every stop it makes all day, What else we got????

Exactly - If you don't want to be there, then by all means use your sick/personal/vacation days, and if you have kid(s), use them as an excuse to work remote, saying they are sick.

Look at it this way - unless you bought extra vacation time and have not used any yet, the company isn't going to pay you for it....so might as well use it. I have a work buddy whom is LL6, and he is out until after memorial day weekend....he took two weeks to get out of the mess, I'm sure of it. Another thing to remember is that if you are tapped but aren't there, they will still let you go when you return...so might as well make the most of it, I say

It seems that those that post threads like this are fearful because they have no value add and are worried when they should be doing their job which is what they are still getting paid to do. Do your job and stop whining until there's something to whine about. If you have the right skill set then you shouldn't be worried.

Use your personal days, I hear there is a nasty influenza going around. Lasts 4-5 days.

Hey as far as next week goes, if you want to drink at work, and you aren't in a position where you'd be putting your or others' safety in jeopardy, then go ahead and drink. Why not? Just don't be stupid about it or over do it.
