Ancillaries (jewelry, t-b-cco)

Has anyone been told that MSS' is not to send members to the Ancillary registers any longer? Seems ridiculous to me, very poor member service. Our club has two registers on average open at one time and at time the lines are very long.

I enjoy helping members out. I usually only take small carts where I can see the items. Makes it easier to scan. I do not believe the cashiers are slackers. The new system does not work very well. You have a cashier and a runner. The runner is supposed to put everything up on the belt for the member. Exception: heavy items. If it is a huge order the belt get jammed up and the runner cannot possibly. unload and then load it back in at the same time. The new system is horrible. And the yellow line issue For God's sake who is making these decisions?

Our store too has only two regular registers open at any given time. Members hate it. The lines are long. And yes, they are sent to every register in the store to check out. Beyond ridiculous. The front is always short staffed. It's ridiculous that the cashiers are being timed too, as to how fast they can check someone out. I hear members telling the cashier to stop rushing them. Head office is run by a bunch of doofus if they think this is working.

I work and jewelry and think we should go ask members to come to jewelry instead of waiting in line because we are all a TEAM, and it's not about you it's about the members. I also will not be surprised if it goes third party or they just take it out completely. I actually am surprised it hasn't happened yet.

It’s because the ancillaries are going 3rd party. Warning signs all over. People working in ancillary departments are just in denial. Everyone else knows.

Jewelry and T-b-cco are already gone in my club.

Makes the club look SO trashy and inept when sending members on long journeys all over the club to be rung up. INEPT and UNPROFESSIONAL. Staff your clubs properly so the membership fee paid appears to actually benefit the member for once. Embarrassing.

They used to send them to tires, membership, wireless, t-b-cco and jewelry and photo when it got busy at our store. What worked better is when someone with a handheld would scan all the items as the member waited in line, then when their card was scanned it would all pop into the register and they would just have to pay

They know better than to send a member with a cart full of items to my jewelry counter to check out. Better things to do in my area. Figure it out yourself front end slackers.
