I have a cubicle next to the guy with a cubical and heard that the following has been verified to be going on.
When the big leaders of the company get together to come up with diabolic plans like actually rewarding folks with seniority some level of reward for length of service they do so clothed in hooded robes , chanting around an ashtray of glowing incense. Once the chanting and incense inhalation has come to an end they then make decision suggestions that will later be decided by a force outside and greater than themselves. Decisions such as whether or not all Walmart executives should wear the same color of magic panties on the same day or whether or not senior associates should be given at least a bit of recognition for there tenure are tossed on the table. Now after deciding which decisions will be brought to the greatest of all deciders , the Great Decider's dicision making prowess is brought to the fore.
A button is pushed and a great opening appears in the middle of the conference room table around which the robed figures have gathered. From the opening rises what has the appearance birds nest lined with fine purple linen. Beside the nest is an automaton resembling a mechanical fortune teller. The head robed figure one by one reads the decisions that have been decided must come before the great decider. Upon said reading the automaton moves it hand towards the nest ( an action that draws gasps and sounds of awe from the robed figures) and reaches in and pulls out a black shiny sphere the size of a softball. After shaking the ball vigorously the automaton holds the ball close to the head robed figure for the reading of the great decision. Upon reading the decision of whether or not to enact block scheduling the head robed figure read in the window of the black sphere , written on triangle shape floating in purple water " The signs point to yes"'
