I took vacation, did my job interviews, picked from the best offer (I got three), and quit UP the day after I got my new start date.
Word to the wise: don't give two weeks notice. I would actually recommend not giving any notice at all. It does more for UP than it does for you. If you can somehow find the time to apply for jobs and go to interviews without using your vacation, UP will cut you a check (very slowly) for your unused vacation time. Every little bit helps.
