Wonder if the EWA training facility in Leesburg, VA is being dusted off since it won’t be getting much use until 2023 (likely with whatever company buys the Regulated Landline parts)?

Sounds like BS to me, but I did hear a rumor a while ago that they were looking to turn it into a franchise or a business or something.

Now we know why they extended the contract so easily.

EISP is a pipe dream, no contract renewal, and all will be gone.

The old field techs are at max wage with job security and new hires would be at first wage step with no job security. Maybe we are slow right now for a reason. We are only at 3 billion in operating expense savings, they want 10 billion by Jan 2021. Somethings gotta give.....

No. Why would Verizon pay to release thousands of employees when we are slow everywhere, only to rehire new ones who will also sit around and do training all day, as we are slow. Offering an EISP and NOT replacing techs would make sense, retiring new ones to replace old ones would be foolish. Hans would have to be stupid, which i do not think he is.

So Marlboro Ma training facility was crated up and ready to be shipped to the Virginia site, but then recently put on hold. Rumors are it's due to an agreement on a massive EISP followed by new field tech hires. Would make sense as to why they put a hold on the transfer. Lord knows we don't use Marlboro like we use to so
