From the outside. She comes from Corning.

Perfect. Let’s get rid of one dinosaur and bring in another dinosaur.
Coincidence Verizon has a huge f---ing fiber contract with Corning?
Presumably, the old head of HR.
So, who is she replacing?
Really now folks, does anyone actually believe she will be any different than MR? She is not coming here for group hugs or bonding moments.
I agree with the @Z9V5hmL-1zix post. It is not about to get better for any of us.
“The applications we are receiving are suspect because they don’t have the job qualifications posted. I just want to hire people that have the skill set needed.”
Ask to see all the people who applied if you don’t trust them. I suspect though that for many roles this may be the last option for those who have the skill sets and experience desired based on how many folks view Verizon.
Good post
If accurate based on fact checking this should be the first question in a townhall
When will this be announced? Who would she replace?
She heroically champions diversity. Luckily, older people add to a workforce's diversity as well.
HR is a mafia anyway...so who cares. She's not going to clean up anything and is here to roll out the wave of RIFs coming that management is now referring to by various other terms/phrases. Raise your ha d if your role is not exactly defined in 2.0--exactly.
As someone who spent time with Corning under this officer, I bid you my sincerest sympathies, and good luck.
Diversity under them starts with more layoffs while disbanding all teams into onshore contractor positions. It's not unheard of for the contract houses to subcontract 2 or 3 layers deep so you don't know who the incompetent replacements actually work for. Speculating where these contractors come from and their calibur of skill is an exercise for the reader.
Employees kept are relegated to chasing process, documenting core business tasks while overseeing those contract headcount. It's pitched as promotion, but you won't see it reflected in pay or title. The business doesn't seem genuinely interested in capturing process during this phase. You can liken this to a busy-work ruse as part of the real next phase of their playbook. Employees are shuffled from team to team frequently creating anxiety and talent exits.
Next, after a business case can be easily made as cost saving, the whole self created mess is outsourced to offshore managed services. Timeline from conception to full implementation is about 3 years.
It was truly sad to witness so many long timers who poured their lives into building the business they believed in to be crushed and discarded so readily.
@Z9V5hmL-1jpg exactly. You have senior executives of the company pushing infanticide on social media using the company's name. Sounds like someone missed unconscious bias training.
Hans first diversity hire.....Hopefully she will get in and clean up HR. They are trying to force us to replace people leaving with unqualified people to fill some kind of obvious diversity quota. The applications we are receiving are suspect because they don’t have the job qualifications posted. I just want to hire people that have the skill set needed.
Who cares? Just another puppet
See HR does read these posts and comments too.
she will take over IT soon
Corning, I think?
What’s her name?
the company
Corning, NY?
