Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Frito lay started CAO in Walmart

Walmart told them that they are going to merchandise their products soon. Looks like the merchandisers will be eliminated 1st at Frito. I was told that the reps will remain delivering but they were told the Walmart will be taking over merchandising very soon.

Hahahahaha! So what now, we gonna stop selling at Kroger! Haha! If you believe that,

I got some swamp land for you to buy. MYbe a bridge too! It paying slotting fees isn’t an option.

Need I remind you of the recent power struggle with PepsiCo and Walmart? Guess who won? You are grasping at straws

Clearly some chose to reside in lala land, and instead of engaging themselves in some type of realty, they just ask their DM. Dangerous waters, in the end they will hide behind the fact that they didn’t know. Ignorance is bliss, but in the end reality won’t pay the bills! May want to ask a few questions!

You really need to quit asking your DM, they are advocating for you, they get their paycheck from Mondelez.

Kroger ain’t investing in DSD, their $60 million dollar warehouse that is only partially full and houses Hostess, Keebler, and soon Nestle. If you believe Kroger is committed to DSD, think again!!! Kroger is investing in warehouse, not DSD! You are gonna really kick yourself for being so gullible!! 🤣🤣

We're partnering with Kroger to help keep their shelves full. Kroger values dsd my DM said! They can't do it without reps and merchandisers!! Just fake news on here!! It's been a witch hunt for 3 years on here

To the Donald Trump lover....get some friends. You are isolating yourself! This isn’t a forum to talk politics, that’s what you do with friends, if you had any. This site is to share information regarding Mondelez exit from DSD.

Winning? Haha, I’m still waiting for someone to share a link to any information showing that we’re “winning” in the US! We’re not, negative growth. Is that a win? Not in my book. All in how you spin it I guess? Just like your DM explaining the “new” DSD! Bottom line though sales in the US are down. I’d love for someone to prove me otherwise, can’t happen! Just keep believing what your being told if it makes you feel better. Do you still sleep with a “blankey”, just curious?

They are hiring because they are anticipating some people are going to quit. They are building a cushion in their merchandising group. Kellogg’s brought in people from a outside company to merchandise after they announced they were going warehouse. If you are a PTM why would stick around there nothing for you to gain.

For a few reasons, first and foremost, this organization cannot survive without “boots on the ground” in a DSD model. PT help makes up more than 50% of that. PT help will get zip, zero, and natta thing when DSD ends! They will leave in droves! I’ve been through quite a few “downsizing’s” with Mondelez and PT help will not get a thing. With that, they will leave, if they haven’t already to find new jobs. They want to stack the teams to gear up for this.

We aren’t fully staffed. There is actually an open Regional management position. This indicates usually a reorganization.

Mondelez will continue without DSD. Why would they stop hiring? 90% of our retail accounts are already warehouse, DSD makes up less than 10% of the stores. This “were too big” stuff is a joke! Mondelez will go on, just without DSD.

Why are we still hiring then?? Why hire people to let them go in a few months?? Makes no sense to me...

You are nuts! Good luck to you, there’s no such thing as a “ new DSD”, instead that’s the excuse management is giving you to explain away the transition to warehouse. Even my DM laughed when I told him this.

That saying, “there’s a s---er born every minute” pertains to you!! You are a con mans dream come true!! Good luck! Haha

Frito has been CAO at Wal Mart for some time! Reps tweek orders. Same at Kroger. Bottom line is that all vendors, or almost all vendors that are DSD are going warehouse. Game over is correct! Highly perishable items like bread, companies where reps own their route, and alcohol and pop will either remain DSD or go last. We will be fine before Frito! They will still drop product. Anyone who remotely believes business as usual is a mo--n!! It’s coming, only senior management knows the exact timeline, but it’s coming and it won’t be long!!! Wake up people!!
