Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

What positions could be eliminated?

I’m sure that, by now. Everybody is aware that the company is in the process of constant change, at least that’s the case under this leadership. Don’t doubt for a second that changes will continue, and you know how it is with changes, someone always grabs the shorter stick. I would like some honest opinions on what positions could be next in line to be eliminated or changed to a degree that the demand new workers?

Indirect can be outsourced or done away with all together. We really don't have much of a impact anymore.

Most network jobs can be done on a wide scale in a central office. Get rid of all the markets

A.I. is not a buzzword. VZ is compiling data tables to reflect all of supply chain activity and are working with their suppliers for full EDI integration, it is just a matter of time. The "Bots" will be placing the orders soon for network elements, CPE, and consumables.

Supply chain...they will automate with A.I.

Not doubting the automation of jobs, but anybody who mentions "AI" should not be taken seriously.

AI is just a buzzword still.
