Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Furloughs continue, but we can't strike?

UP was a wolf in sheep's clothing. How can a company like UP continue to have record breaking profits, layoff as much as they have, get tax breaks for Veterans, destroy local economies, hire competitors' ex-executives, furlough some more at will, but the federal government hasn't stepped in yet and we can't strike? And when did outsiders start running the inside of our company?

This one actually made me laugh, government intervention and strike over furloughs?

It started when they hired our ceo who had no railroad experience, he was a banker before he worked for us. I think it will take a major accident before they see that this isn’t working. It is a private company so they can do what they want, We could strike but they haven’t broken any contracts so there is no reason for it
