There is no EISP money left. Congratulations on negotiating 4 more years of grinding it out wasting your life away. After 30 years, you can enjoy 5 years of retirement.

Yes it is always up for negotiation with each contract. The current EISP language is the result of such negotiations. If you want to negotiate outside of that you will be unable to as the terms are legally binding. You or the company cant change them during the term of the agreement. If you aren't under contract then you will just have to take what the company wishes to dole out at the time they wish to dismiss you.

I would think that if you volunteered to leave with the package that vz offered. That’s it. No one forced you. Vvj, you were probably laid off correct? Anyone who took the vsp, left of their own free will. I left 12/28, that’s like me suing them because the pbgc rate is supposed to go down on oct and I want a bigger lump sum. The deal they offered is the deal you accepted.

No, but Verizon settled in lieu of going to trial. The settlement was much higher than my severance which I forfeited when I filed a lawsuit against them for wrongful termination.

Yes. He was given the option of negotiating one of three date choices on which to sever.
