Every time I get a customer complaint regarding lack of staffing or poor customer service, I inform the customer (in a very polite and professional way), that our new CEO and his ex Depot team have cut staffing levels/payroll to an all time low. If they continue to complain, I inform them how Marv and company have waged a war against employees and the poor customer service/store conditions are a direct result of that.
Be honest with the customers. Stop letting them blame us when it’s Marv and Co that are calling the shots.
The foundation and success of any business is based upon the employees. Marv sees employees as nothing other than a controllable expense. Remember, without 85% of Lowe’s corporate associates, the company would still operate.. without store associates, you would be out of business in a day.
